Sadara Chemical Company is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company, established in October 2011. It represents a unique alliance aimed at transforming the chemical industry in Saudi Arabia and the wider region. With a total investment of around $20 billion, Sadara is the largest integrated chemical complex ever built in a single phase globally. The company operates 26 world-class manufacturing plants in Jubail Industrial City II, producing over three million metric tons of value-added chemicals and plastics annually. Sadara is notable for introducing products never before manufactured in the Kingdom, including isocyanates and polyols, which are essential for polyurethane foams, as well as a wide range of specialty chemicals used in packaging, hygiene, automotive, water treatment, and personal care industries. Through its innovative technologies and diversified product portfolio, Sadara supports Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and downstream industry development in line with Vision 2030.
