The Sadara petrochemical site, located in Jubail Industrial City II on Saudi Arabia’s eastern coast, is the world’s largest integrated chemicals complex built in a single phase. Covering an area of six square kilometers, the site comprises 26 manufacturing plants, including 14 specialized facilities producing chemicals previously unavailable in the Kingdom. The complex features a mixed-feed steam cracker capable of processing both ethane and naphtha, enabling the production of a broad range of plastics and chemicals such as ethylene, polyethylene, chlorine, propylene, and nitrobenzene. With an annual production capacity exceeding three million metric tons, the site is a cornerstone for the region’s advanced packaging, electronics, automotive, and downstream industries. The Sadara site also includes the PlasChem Park, which fosters chemical and downstream manufacturing, further supporting job creation and industrial diversification in Saudi Arabia.
