Basell Polyolefine GmbH is a German subsidiary of LyondellBasell Industries N.V., one of the world’s largest producers of polyolefins and a leading developer and licensor of polyolefin process technologies. Headquartered in Wesseling, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Basell Polyolefine GmbH specializes in the production and distribution of key petrochemicals such as propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene, and butadiene. These products serve a broad range of industries, including plastics manufacturing, automotive, packaging, construction, and chemicals.

Basell Polyolefine GmbH’s corporate heritage traces back to the polyolefin businesses of BASF and Shell, which merged their assets in 2000 to form Basell Polyolefins. In 2007, Basell merged with Lyondell Chemical Company to create LyondellBasell Industries, further strengthening its global position in the polyolefins market.
