Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) is Pakistan’s oldest oil refinery, established in 1922 and located in Rawalpindi. It is a key part of the Attock Group of Companies and primarily refines crude oil sourced from the northern regions of Pakistan. With a current capacity of about 53,400 barrels per day, ARL produces a wide range of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, furnace oil, LPG, and bitumen. The refinery supplies fuels to both civilian markets and the armed forces, making it strategically important for the country. Over the years, ARL has undergone several upgrades to improve efficiency and meet international environmental and quality standards, such as ISO certifications and Euro fuel standards.
