Situated in Mooretown, Ontario, NOVA Chemicals’ Moore facility converts ethylene into polyethylene resins, receiving ethylene feedstock via dedicated pipeline from the Corunna cracker facility.

The facility has been operating since 1977 and was originally owned by Union Carbide Corporation, until NOVA Chemicals’ acquisition in 1987.

During the site’s history, both high-density (HDPE) and low-density (LDPE) polyethylene has been consistently manufactured using NOVAPOL processing technology. The annual production is approximately 840 million pounds (380,000 tonnes).

The site plays a strategic role in NOVA’s integrated Sarnia-Lambton operations.
