Description

Technical grade, so-called "Polymeric MDI" (PMDI), are dark brown liquids at room temperature, which contain between 30% and 80% MDI together with higher molecular weight MDI homologues. PMDI are mixtures of Isocyanates with from 2 (MDI) to 6 Isocyanate Groups or Aromatic Rings, a molecular formula from C15H10N2O2 to C47H3030N6O6, a molecular weight from 250.3 to 778 g/mol, a melting point below 0°C and a boiling point above 210°C at 7 hPa.
