Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco (62.5%) and TotalEnergies (37.5%), incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a limited liability company in August 2008 and operational since June 2014. Headquartered in Jubail Industrial City 2 (Jubail-2) in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, SATORP owns and operates one of the world's most advanced and fully integrated refining and petrochemical platforms.

The company processes 460,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian Heavy crude oil — one of the most challenging high-sulfur grades to refine — and converts it entirely into high-value refined products and petrochemicals, with no heavy fuel oil or bitumen produced. This full-conversion capability is achieved through a sophisticated configuration of processing units including crude distillation, delayed coking, distillate hydrocracking, fluid catalytic cracking, and an aromatics complex. Annual output reaches approximately 22 million tonnes of products, including 700,000 t/year of paraxylene, 210,000 t/year of high-purity propylene, and 150,000 t/year of benzene, alongside transportation fuels exported via the King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail.

SATORP holds a number of industry firsts in the Kingdom: it is the first refinery in Saudi Arabia to produce petroleum coke and paraxylene, the first project built and operated in Jubail-2, and the first refinery in the Middle East and North Africa to receive the ISCC Plus certification for circular economy compliance. The company is currently expanding through the Amiral petrochemical complex — a world-scale integrated steam cracker and polymer production facility for which a Final Investment Decision (FID) was signed by both shareholders in December 2022 and which is targeted for commissioning in 2027.
