Founded in 1976, Sonangol, E.P. – National Fuel Company of Angola, Public Company – is a company engaged in the exploration of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons in the subsoil and on the continental shelf of Angola. Its activities, carried out independently or in partnership with national and foreign companies, include the prospecting, research, development, production, storage, marketing, transportation, and refining of hydrocarbons and their derivatives

SEGMENTS OF ACTIVITIES

Sonangol E.P.'s business is carried out by 18 subsidiaries grouped into five business segments:

Exploration and Production Segment (Upstream)

Comprises the group of subsidiary companies whose main activity is the exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbons.

Refining and Transportation Segment (Midstream)

Brings together the companies involved in the refining and maritime transportation of crude oil and refined products.

Logistics and Distribution Segment (Downstream)

Includes Sonangol E.P.’s subsidiaries dedicated to the supply, storage, distribution, and marketing of refined crude oil products and gas.

Non-Core Activities Segment

Consists of the group of subsidiaries whose mission is to develop support activities for Sonangol E.P.'s core businesses, as well as companies engaged in social initiatives and human capital development.

Corporate and Financial Segment (Corporate & Finance)

Ensures the development of the Concessionaire Function, as well as corporate, transversal, support, and monitoring functions for the subsidiary companies.
