Description

Created in 1961, Société Africaine de Raffinage (SAR) began its activities on October 31, 1963 and was inaugurated on January 27, 1964 by Léopold Sédar Senghor, President of the Republic.

Since then, SAR has been supplying the Senegalese domestic market with butane gas, super gasoline, regular gasoline, kerosene, kerosene, diesel oil, diesel oil and fuel oil.

The SAR facilities cover an area of ​​32 hectares and has undergone successive improvements since 1961.

From 600,000 tons at its start, the processing capacity has increased to 1,500,000 tons per year to date.
