Tianjin Petrochemical Branch are collectively referred to as Tianjin Petrochemical Company. It is a is a major state-owned integrated refining, ethylene, chemical, and fiber enterprise under Sinopec. It was established on December 28, 1983 and is located in Tianjin Binhai New Area of Tianjin, covering an area of 16.4 square kilometers. It has railway and road connections to Tianjin city center and Tanggu New Port, and oil pipeline connections to Tianjin Port's Nanjiang Petrochemical Terminal, providing an advantageous geographical location for developing a major national petrochemical base.
