Technology Unit

The 1^st Distillation Column separates the Product Stream from the Process Vessel into most of the Benzene and Lighter Hydrocarbons from a Stream of Ethylbenzene and Diethylbenzene. The Light Stream is recycled with the Benzene Feed; the Bottom Stream feeds into a Second Column.

The 2^nd Distillation Column separates the Ethylbenzene, at 99.8% purity and with less than 2 ppm Diethylbenzene, from a DEB-Heavy Bottoms Stream. The Bottoms Stream gets sent through a pump, back through a fired heater, and another Reactor with the same kinetics as the first three. This product joins the stream from the Third Reactor before approaching the series of Heat Exchangers.
