Description

Controlled heat treatment of green petroleum coke, pitch coke, or anthracite at 1,100–1,350°C to remove moisture and volatile matter, and to develop stable carbon microstructure. Technologies include rotary kiln calcination, shaft kiln calcination, and electric calcination.
