Description

CN111574318A describes Ruihua's technology for alkylation reaction of benzene with pure ethylene in liquid phase for the production of ethylbenzene.

The technology involves the steps of:

  a. Treating the benzene raw material two impurity absorbers, a light component (tail gas) removal tower and a benzene recovery tower.
  b. Protection reaction involving an alkylation reactor and a protection reactor.
  c. Alkylation reaction involving steam generators and two catalyst-bed layers.
  d. Benzene recovery from the benzene recovery column.
  e. Ethylbenzene recovery from the ethylbenzene recovery column.
  f. Polyethylbenzene recovery from the polyethylbenzene recovery column.
  g. Trans-alkylation reaction in the trans-alkylation reactor.
