The ARPC petrochemical complex occupies approximately 523 hectares and operates 18 integrated production plants producing a wide range of polymers, chemicals, and synthetic rubber from naphtha feedstock with a capacity of 870,000 tonnes/year of saleable petrochemical products. The complex underwent revamp and expansion projects in 2003, boosting total annual capacity by 15%.
Feedstock and Integration
Primary Feedstock is naphtha (heavy and light), supplied from 16 Iranian and international sources, including the adjacent Shazand Oil Refinery. The complex also uses:
- Natural gas (12.2 million Nm³/year)
- Kerosene (900,000 tonnes/year)
- LPG as alternative feedstock (up to 180 tonnes/day)
