Description
MEGlobal operates two plants at the Prentiss site in Red Deer in the Alberta Province of Canada, home to approximately 100 employes. The site was built near the city of Red Deer because of its proximity to abundant natural resources, transportation routes and a skilled workforce.
- The Prentiss I EO/EG plant plant started up in 1984 and has a capacity of 440,000 MT of glycol per annum.
- The Prentiss II EO/EG plant started up in 1994 and has a capacity of 450,000 MT of glycol per annum
In addition to MEGlobal, the Prentiss location is also home to The Dow Chemical Company who operates a world-scale polyethylene plant on the site.
