Borealis Kallo hosts major production plants and advanced technologies focused on propylene and polypropylene manufacturing:

• Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Plant:
  
  The centerpiece is a world-scale PDH plant, employing Honeywell UOP’s Oleflex™ catalytic dehydrogenation technology to convert propane into propylene with a targeted capacity of 750,000 tonnes per year, making it one of the largest and most efficient units of its kind globally. The plant features energy-efficient operations, integrated cogeneration for steam and electricity, and is designed to support both conventional and renewable feedstocks.
   
• Polypropylene (PP) Production:
  
  The site also includes a polypropylene plant, recently expanded by 80,000 tonnes/year, supplying innovative PP grades for advanced packaging, automotive, and healthcare applications. The PP production is fully integrated with the new PDH plant, ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply of propylene feedstock.
   
• Sustainability and Circularity:
  
  Borealis Kallo’s setup enables the production of both conventional and bio-based propylene and polypropylene, with ISCC Plus certification supporting traceability and sustainability for renewable feedstocks.
