Description

The San Joaquin Refinery is a very small, medium-complexity, specialty products (non-transportation-fuels-focused) refiner, processing only San Joaquin Valley heavy naphthenic crude oil ( Kern County — California’s largest oil-producing county).

Naphthenic specialty oils (branded series):

  • RAFFENE® — rubber process oil, ink oil, adhesives, lubricating base oil, de-dust oil, tire industry applications, resin solutions
  • HYNAP® — naphthenic lubricating base oils, insecticides, explosives, paints & coatings, pigments, hydraulic fluids, industrial lubricants, metalworking fluids, pump oil, process oil
  • HYTRANS® — insulating oil for transformers and switchgear
  • NAPSOL® — drilling fluid, fracking fluid, ink solvent
  • RAFFEX® — high-aromatic, low-aniline-point, free of asphaltenes; rubber, resins, recycling agents, road oils

Non-lube products:

  • ULS No.2 Diesel (CARB compliant, <15 ppm S, wax-free, −75°F pour point; off-road red dye available)
  • Conventional Asphalt (Caltrans Certificate of Compliance approved supplier)
  • Polymer Modified Asphalt (SBS-modified, “very stable”)
  • Asphalt Cutback (SC-800, SC-3000)
