: Completed in 1993, the 60,000 barrel-per-day Petro Star Valdez refinery produces jet fuel, JP-8, JP-5, marine diesel, heating fuel, and turbine fuel. It also has a 12,000-barrel/day distillate hydrotreater and associated process units. It is one of only two in-state refineries that can produce ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD). It is also the only refinery that simultaneously produces both #1 arctic grade and #2 marine/highway ULSD year-round.
