The Arzew-Bethioua complex is the world's largest single-site LNG export terminal by installed nameplate capacity with a single operator, comprising four sub-complexes (GL1Z, GL2Z, GL3Z, GL4Z) with a combined 13 liquefaction trains across 180 acres. The site pioneered commercial LNG exports globally — the GL4Z "Camel" plant delivered the world's first commercial LNG cargo in October 1964.
