  • Polystyrene (PS): Combined Xingang/Mailiao capacity 320,000 t/y

Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA):

  • 550,000 tons/year No. 1 PTA plant at Mailiao

Integration Model

FCFC Mailiao receives feedstock from Formosa Petrochemical's naphtha crackers (2.935 million t/y ethylene, 1.47 million t/y propylene capacity) located within the same complex. The aromatics plants produce benzene, toluene, and xylenes (BTX) from reformate and pygas streams, with PX exported to FCFC's Ningbo PTA plant exempt from China's 2% import tariff.

Operations commenced in 1998 with Aromatics Plant 1 and the SM plant, expanding through subsequent phases.
