The Braskem Seadrift plant is located at 7501 Highway 185 N, Seadrift, Texas, on the western shore of San Antonio Bay approximately 160 km southwest of Houston. This site is one of Braskem America’s three polypropylene production facilities in Texas and is fully owned and operated by Braskem.
The facility has an annual production capacity of 185,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year, utilizing Unipol™ PP gas-phase polymerization technology. Polymer-grade propylene is delivered via pipeline from area splitter and cracker complexes, supplemented by rail‐delivered propylene as needed. The site features multiple polypropylene storage silos, rail car loading racks, and barge dock access for flexible domestic and export shipment options.
