TotalEnergies Petrochemicals Feluy is one of the largest producers of high-performance polymers in Europe. The site employs more than 400 people, in addition to a significant number of external jobs such as subcontractors, support functions for product marketing, transport, and specialty services. Its activities consist of transforming gaseous and liquid raw materials derived from petroleum (ethylene, propylene, styrene) into polymers (polypropylene, polyethylene, expandable polystyrene). This process, which takes place in reactors, is called polymerization. The resulting polymer is then extruded and transformed into granules called "pellets."
