Mixed polyolefin waste can be obtained in different ways, such as by separating bottles and jugs from mixed packaging waste, or recovering polyolefins from wire and cable insulation. Increasing numbers of European countries are as well rolling out systems to include new polyolefin-based types of waste (e.g., films, rigid packaging other than bottles) in household separated collections for recycling. In some recovering schemes, the Mixed Polyolefin Waste can also be separated from Non-Recyclable Plastic Waste.
