Alt. Names
Polyethylene Medium-Density
Description

Medium-Density Polyethylene has an average density between 0.930 g/cm³ and 0.940 g/cm³. The melting point is 125 to 128°C. It is temperature resistant from -50°C to +90C. MDPE is characterized by a matt surface, high strength and a slight crackling effect. It is stiffer LDPE or LLDPE but more flexible than HDPE. It exhibits high scratch resistance, meets food handling guidelines and has many uses, most commonly as a packaging material.
