Description

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) is a synthetic, semicrystalline and thermoplastic organic polymer resin with the linear formula (C3H3N)n. It is a versatile material used in various applications, including the production of fibers for textiles, ultrafiltration membranes, and as a precursor for carbon fibers. PAN is formed by the polymerization of acrylonitrile monomers. It is characterized by its high tensile strength, good chemical resistance, and excellent thermal stability.
