Olin Corporation (NYSE: OLN) is a vertically integrated global manufacturer and distributor of chemical products, and the world's largest producer of chlorine. Founded in 1892 by Franklin W. Olin in East Alton, Illinois as a blasting powder supplier, the company has grown over 130 years into a major North American chemicals and defense manufacturer. It is headquartered in Clayton, Missouri, and employs approximately 7,700 people operating in over 15 countries, serving customers in nearly 100 countries.

Business Segments

Olin operates through three distinct business units:

• Chlor-Alkali Products & Vinyls — The flagship segment and core of Olin's identity. Produces chlorine, caustic soda, ethylene dichloride (EDC), vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), methyl chloride, methylene chloride, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, perchloroethylene (PCE), hydrochloric acid, bleach, and hydrogen. Olin holds the largest chlorine production capacity globally and is one of the largest caustic soda marketers in Brazil.

• Epoxy — Produces allylics (allyl chloride, epichlorohydrin, glycerin), aromatics (phenol, acetone, bisphenol A, cumene), and a full range of liquid, solid, and converted epoxy resins and additives. This segment integrates chlorine chemistry downstream into high-value materials.

• Winchester — Makes Olin a uniquely diversified chemical company. Produces small-caliber sporting, law enforcement, and military ammunition, as well as industrial powder-actuated tool loads. Winchester is the largest producer of small-caliber ammunition in the U.S. Olin acquired the Winchester Repeating Arms brand back in 1931.

Olin reported annual revenue of approximately $6.5 billion with EBITDA of ~$761 million. The company's enterprise value stands at roughly $5.2 billion.
