  This subsidiary is engaged in coal coking and by-product recovery and deep processing, and is one of China's 82 circular economy pilot enterprises. The company produces coke and recovers/processes coking by-products.​
• Chemical Products Portfolio:
  The group's chemical manufacturing operations produce methanol, synthetic ammonia, carbon black, wash oil, benzene, phenol, naphthalene, and sodium sulfate (元明粉) as by-products from coking operations.​
• Civil Explosives Chemical Division (民爆化工):
  Shanxi Coking Chemical (山焦化工) serves as the main entity, with production capacity of 80,000 tons/year of explosives, 70 million detonators/year, and 20 million meters/year of detonating tubes. In 2018, this division was reorganized to form Shanxi Civil Explosives Group Co., Ltd. (山西省民爆集团有限公司), integrating assets from Datong Coal Mine Group Chemical Plant, Shanxi Lu'an Civil Explosives, and Yangquan Weihu Chemical.​
