JSC "Taneco" (АО «Танеко») is a modern oil refining and petrochemical complex and a key subsidiary of PJSC Tatneft. Located in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, it represents one of the largest greenfield industry projects in Russia since the Soviet era, officially established in 2005.

The TANECO complex was developed with the strategic goal of upgrading Tatarstan’s oil refining industry, improving the quality of fuel products available for domestic and export markets, and applying cutting-edge environmental and technological standards. The facility includes multiple phases and integrated processing plants for crude oil, producing a wide range of high-quality products such as gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, lubricants, and petrochemical feedstocks. The crude oil primary processing plant began operations in December 2011, and TANECO has since continued to expand with units for hydrocracking, catalytic cracking, and base oil production.

TANECO is wholly owned by PJSC Tatneft and constitutes the group’s main downstream asset. With an annual crude oil processing capability of over 17 million tons, it is among the largest and most advanced refineries in Russia, emphasizing efficiency, product quality, and environmental responsibility.
