PJSC Tatneft (Russian: ПAO «Татнефть») is a major Russian vertically integrated oil and gas company headquartered in Almetyevsk, in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is among the top five largest oil companies in Russia and is noted for its broad activities across the oil and gas value chain, including exploration, production, refining, marketing, and petrochemicals. The company also has an active presence in the financial sector through its banking subsidiaries.

Tatneft operates primarily in Tatarstan, where it holds most of the region’s exploration and production licenses, but it also conducts oil and gas exploration both within Russia and internationally. The company processes a significant proportion of its crude output at its own TANECO refinery. Beyond oil and gas, Tatneft is engaged in the production of tires, manufacturing equipment for the industry, and construction services. As of 2021, Tatneft reported annual revenues of $17.2 billion and employed approximately 60,000 people.

Founded in 1950 as a state enterprise, Tatneft was privatized in the 1990s and has since become a public company, with shares traded on the Moscow Exchange and depositary receipts previously listed on international exchanges. Its long-term strategy focuses on expanding crude oil production, enhancing refining capabilities, and growing its petrochemical operations.

Tatneft is recognized for its significant role in Russia's energy sector, as well as for its efforts in technological innovation, field development (including hard-to-recover reserves), and vertical integration.
