Amogy is on a mission to unlock ammonia’s potential as a clean energy source, accelerating the global journey to Net Zero and sustaining future generations.

We were founded in 2020 by four MIT PhD alumni committed to decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors. Our patented ammonia cracking technology is carbon free and scalable, delivering a highly efficient method for splitting ammonia to generate electrical power to shape a cleaner future.

To date, our technology has been successfully deployed in a drone, tractor, and semi-truck. Most recently, we successfully retrofitted and demonstrated the world’s first carbon-free ammonia-powered tugboat, the NH₃ Kraken.

And we’re just getting started.

We will soon launch our commercial efforts from our advanced manufacturing facility in Houston, a former oil and gas facility currently under renovation.

The need for clean energy is urgent and with our planet’s natural ecosystems, biodiversity, climate stability, and air quality at stake, we intend to do something about it.
