Imam Khomeini Refinery in Shazand is one of the subsidiary companies of Iran's National Company for Refining and Distribution of Petroleum Products, which was launched as the largest single unit refinery in Iran in 1372 with a nominal capacity of 150,000 barrels per day. The production capacity of the refinery has increased from 170,000 barrels per day to 250,000 barrels per day. Also, the production of gasoline has increased by 12 million liters per day in exchange for the decrease in fuel oil production, while the feed of the refinery has changed from 100% sweet and light crude oil to a mixture of 55% light and 45% heavy crude oil.
