HPCL RAJASTHAN REFINERY LIMITED is in the advanced construction phase and is expected to begin commercial production in 2026.
Crude Mix: Designed to process both indigenous Rajasthan crude and imported Arab mix crude (initially 1.5 MMTPA Rajasthan crude + 7.5 MMTPA Arab mix; shifting to 9.0 MMTPA Arab mix after 8 years)
Product Mix: HRRL is tilted towards petrochemical production. At full capacity, the product slate is expected to produce ~16–18 vol.% gasoline, ~45–48 vol.% middle distillates, ~ 6.5-7.0 Wt.% petcoke and ~ 29-31 vol.% petrochemicals—the highest petrochemical intensity (~26%) in India. The refinery will consume its own petcoke in its CFBC boiler to generate steam and power, leaving minimal petcoke for external disposal.
