TotalEnergies has assumed full operational control of the Zeeland Refinery N.V. in the Netherlands, consolidating its position in the Northwest European refining market. The company is now responsible for all day‑to‑day operations, including crude procurement, production planning, and product offtake, under arrangements that effectively place the 180 kb/d Vlissingen site under TotalEnergies’ sole management.

Although a 45% stake was historically held via Lukoil’s trading arm Litasco, recent agreements mean TotalEnergies directs refinery utilization, feedstock slate, and output flows, giving it de facto control over the asset and enabling tighter integration with its regional supply and marketing system.
