Axens kicks-off first worldwide full-SAF unit in Asia

Sep 5,2025 -- Axens has successfully started up 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) unit at site in Asia. The facility has the capacity to entirely convert renewable feedstock into high value Sustainable Aviation Fuel.  This Vegan® unit allows full flexibility to produce either 100% Renewable Diesel (RD) or 100% SAF.  Since its kick-off a few months ago, the unit has demonstrated to operate very stably with positive performance. Vegan® process is thus able to prevent co-production of Renewable Diesel if not desired and focus on maximizing SAF. But what makes this solution unique is that 100% SAF mode is obtained without the need of additional hydrocracking stage.

Commissioning of 500,000 tons/year SAF project

Mar 1, 2025 -- The commissioning period for the environmental protection facilities ws from March 1, 2025 to June 1, 2025.

Aug 2, 2023 -- Haike Chemicals aims to have their first SAF-only unit on stream with high yield on-spec production within 12 months.
