Nov 2016 -- Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Polyolefin Units Introduction
The large polypropylene unit uses ABB Company's NOVOLEN gas-phase polypropylene process.
The first phase design total capacity is 400,000 tons/year, designed with 2 production lines:

• Line 1: Mainly produces homopolymers and random copolymers, design capacity of 180,000 tons/year
• Line 2: Mainly produces homopolymers and impact copolymers, design capacity of 220,000 tons/year
• Design annual operating time: 8,000 hours

In October 2013, the unit underwent capacity expansion modification, with total design capacity expanded to 550,000 tons/year:

• Line 1 polymerization system expanded from 180,000 tons/year to 330,000 tons/year
• Extrusion pelletizing maximum production capacity expanded from 36 tons/hour to 44 tons/hour
• Line 2 remained unchanged
