Most of Unipar's plants switched from mercury/diaphgram to membrane supplied/licensed by thysenkrupp. The Cubatao plant will phase out mercury and asbestos in 2025, replacing it with membrane technology responsible for 210ktpa chlorine capacity, which represents 60% of the currrent capacity (the remaining 40% is currently produced using membrane tech.)
