Unipar, a Brazilian company founded on May 28, 1969, is a key player in the chemical and petrochemical sector in South America, standing out as the largest producer of chlorine and caustic soda, and the second-largest producer of PVC. The company's production line also includes sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid, and intermediate products that are part of the PVC production chain—dichloroethane and vinyl monochloride.

Founded over 55 years ago in Brazil, Unipar currently has four production facilities. In Brazil, two are strategically located in Cubatão and Santo André, in the state of São Paulo, and one is located in the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex in Bahia. In Argentina, the plant is in Bahía Blanca. Chlorine and caustic soda are obtained at all of the company's facilities, while PVC is produced only at the Santo André and Bahía Blanca facilities.

Unipar is a self-generator of electricity. In Brazil, it holds controlling stakes in Tucano Holdings III and Veleiros, renewable wind power generation companies in the Northeast region, and also in Lar do Sol, a solar power generator located in the state of Minas Gerais. In Argentina, it holds a stake in Solalban, a local gas-fired power producer.
