- Description
-
Stabilizer arrives in the plant in shipping container (101) which is a 20 ft (6.096 meter) ISO container holding about 24 tons of stabilizer and is equipped with a steam coil. It is then connected to nitrogen supply (102) to keep the stabilizer under a positive pressure of nitrogen and to low pressure steam supply (103) to melt the stabilizer. The molten stabilizer passes from shipping container (101) to the stabilizer charge drum (104), which is also provided with a nitrogen supply line (105) and a vent to a flare. At the bottom of the charge drum, an outlet communicates via a conduit with pump (107) which pumps the stabilizer into the addition location (38) a between the gear pump (38) and the devolatilizer (40).
