Technology Unit

The hydrocarbon fluid is fractional separated for segregation of different mixes of hydrocarbons. Typically, the C₆ to C₁₀ light fraction is collected at the top of the column after being condensed. The C₁₁ to C₂₀ medium fraction, typically a diesel product, is collected between the bottom and the top of the column where the quality is according to specifications. The C₂₁⁺ heavy fraction is collected at a low point of the column.
