- Description
- A Stream of reconcentrated Sulfuric Acid from the Concentrator and a stream of Nitric Acid from are mixed prior to entering the Nitrator. The Reactant Stream of Mixed Acid entering the Nitrator comprises Nitric Acid, Sulfuric Acid and Water. The concentration of Nitric Acid in the Mixed Acid is about 2.2 wt-%. The concentration of Sulfuric Acid in the Mixed Acid is about 65 wt-%. The balance of the Mixed Acid is Water, which comes partly from the Nitric Acid Stream and partly from the reconcentrated Sulfuric Acid Stream. The temperature of the Mixed Acid Stream is about 80°C.
