LyondellBasell’s Brindisi Site is located five kilometers from the town of Brindisi, in the Apulia region of southern Italy. The Adriatic Sea lies immediately to the east and north of the complex, with the Port of Brindisi to the northwest. The site produces polypropylene resins through the company’s Spheripol and Spherizone technologies. The homopolymer resins produced by our Spheripol process are used primarily for packaging applications. Our Spherizone line, the first commercial line of its type in the world, produces resins used in the manufacturing of piping, construction materials, automotive products and household products.
