The Skikda refinery consists of several units distributed as follows:

• Two atmospheric distillation units, Topping (U10/11)
• Three gas separation and treatment units (U30/31/104)
• A bitumen production unit: vacuum distillation (U70)
• A pretreatment and catalytic reforming unit 1: Magnaforming (U100)
• A pretreatment and catalytic reforming unit 2: Platforming (U101/103) subject of our study
• An aromatics extraction unit (U200)
• A paraxylene crystallization and separation unit (U400)
• Milex unit (U600)
• A Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE1050)
• Blowdown System: flare (U1090)

The refinery also includes other annexed units:

• An effluent treatment unit
• A storage park for finished and semi-finished products
