USI Corporation operates production facilities exclusively at the Renwu (Jen-Wu) Petrochemical Industrial Park in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The company maintains two distinct polyethylene production plants at this location with a combined annual capacity of 280,000 metric tons.
High-Pressure LDPE/EVA Plant
The LDPE/EVA facility consists of 4 sets of high-pressure autoclave production lines with a total annual capacity of 150,000 metric tons. Production commenced in May 1968 with the original LDPE unit, which after multiple expansions now has a capacity of 120,000 MT per annum for LDPE production. EVA production lines were added over subsequent years, including a new EVA production line with 40,000-45,000 tons annual capacity that went into production in 2016.
The plant produces low-density polyethylene resins in injection and film grades, plus ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer resins in foaming, hot melt adhesive (HMA), and photovoltaic (PV) grades. In 2024, the LDPE/EVA plant produced 110,189 metric tons, compared to 132,324 metric tons in 2023.
Low-Pressure HDPE/LLDPE Plant
The HDPE/LLDPE facility operates 1 set of gas phase production line with a total annual capacity of 130,000 metric tons. HDPE production was added in July 1980 through the merger with United Polymers Corporation, initially adding 80,000 metric tons of annual production capacity. The LLDPE plant was completed in December 1989.
Main products include high-density polyethylene resins in injection, yarn, and rotation molding grades, plus linear low-density polyethylene resins in blown film and casting grades. The HDPE/LLDPE plant produced 78,378 metric tons in 2024, compared to 84,849 metric tons in 2023.
