INVISTA Nylon Chemicals (China) operates a fully integrated complex 6,6 value chain complex consisting of multiple world-scale facilities:

Adiponitrile (ADN) Production

INVISTA operates a 400,000 tons per year ADN plant, which became operational in November 2022. This facility represents the company's largest capital investment in its history, with total investment exceeding 7 billion RMB (over $1 billion USD). The plant utilizes INVISTA's proprietary and most advanced ADN technology.

Hexamethylenediamine (HMD) Manufacturing

The HMD facility, operational since April 2016, currently produces 215,000 tons per year. This plant serves as a critical component in the integrated value chain, converting ADN into HMD for downstream polymer production.

Nylon 6,6 Polymer Production

The polymer production facility has undergone significant expansion, with capacity doubled to 400,000 tons per year in August 2024. This expansion involved a strategic investment of 1.75 billion RMB ($240 million USD). The facility employs INVISTA's advanced polymerization technology that uses an aqueous solution method for preparing nylon 6,6 salts, eliminating the need for chemical solvents.
