Description

Default Sub-Product of Condensate(s).

Natural Gas Condensate is a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids. Some low-molecular weight hydrocarbon derivatives within the unprocessed natural gas will condense to a liquid state if the temperature is reduced to below the hydrocarbon dew point temperature at a set pressure. Typically, gas condensate can be produced along with significant volumes of natural gas and is recovered at atmospheric temperatures and pressures from the wellhead gas production.

The raw (unrefined) gas condensate is produced from a reservoir, comes out of the ground as mixtures of various hydrocarbon compounds including NGLs, Pentane derivatives (C5s), Hexane derivatives (C6s), and depending on the condensate a mixture of higher molecular weight Hydrocarbons in the Heptane (C7) to Decane (C10) or even Dodecane (C12) Carbon-number range.
