It has more than 40 years of experience in the industry and is recognized as a prominent project integrator and holding company. Major Projects
1. Pengerang Energy Complex (PEC) – Johor, Malaysia

- Details: Will feature a 150,000 bpd condensate splitter, producing 2.3 million tonnes/yr of aromatics, 3.9 million tonnes/yr of energy products, and 50,000 tonnes/yr of hydrogen.
- Sustainability: The PEC will have one of the lowest carbon footprints per ton of paraxylene globally, running on advanced Honeywell UOP technology.
- Timeline: Financial closure and construction underway; full operations have shifted to 2028 due to financing complexity.
- Shareholder Role: ChemOne is master developer and majority shareholder; partners include Maire Tecnimont (EPC contractor) and strategic equity partners.
2. Pengerang Renewables Complex (PRC) – Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) Plant
- Type: Integrated plant to produce renewable Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, supporting sustainable transport fuels like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
- Status: Financing progressing, separate from PEC, with start-up date likely post-2026.
- Green Initiatives: Hydrogen produced from PEC will be reused in the HVO plant for decarbonised fuel manufacture.
3. Other Activities
- ChemOne has operations and project developments in Thailand, Indonesia, and engages in natural resource ventures, particularly forestry and green energy project.
