Alsachimie is a major chemical manufacturing company based in Chalampé, Alsace, France with over 65 years of industrial activity, previously under Rhône Poulenc, Rhodia, and Solvay before becoming a joint venture in 2020 between BASF (51%) and DOMO Chemicals (49%). On July 1, 2025, BASF finalized the acquisition of DOMO Chemicals’ 49% stake in Alsachimie, making BASF the sole owner of the company.

Alsachimie specializes in the production of key intermediates for polyamide (nylon) 6.6, including KA-oil, adipic acid, and hexamethylenediamine adipate (AH salt). These products are essential in the manufacture of polyamide used in various industries such as automotive, textiles, electronics, and consumer goods. The company operates 24/7, employs over 650 people, and is recognized as a leading European producer of these chemical intermediates.
