1️⃣ Yara International has announced it is exploring new ammonia production projects in the U.S.. CEO Svein Tore Holsether confirmed that the U.S. is a key investment target, with a final investment decision expected in H1 2026.

2️⃣ Amogy has partnered with Taiwan-based GreenHarvest to deploy the first ammonia-to-power system in Taiwan, for large industrial electricity consumers by late 2026.

3️⃣ The U.S. Department of Commerce has imposed a 93.5% anti-dumping duty on Chinese battery anode active material, raising total tariffs to 160%. The measure affects nine major Chinese AAM producers supplying Tesla, Panasonic, SK On, and Samsung SDI. Finished BESS are exempt, impacting U.S. BESS manufacturers but not Chinese BESS exporters.

4️⃣ Europe’s petrochemical sector faces rising costs and global competition, putting 40% of its ethylene capacity at risk. Versalis is closing Italy’s last two crackers after €3.5B in losses, while other majors exit or scale back. Struggling to compete with other regions, Europe risks becoming a net importer, threatening 50 000 jobs and industrial sovereignty.

5️⃣ The UK Department for Transport has awarded over £65 million in the third round of its Advanced Fuels Fund to 17 SAF projects across the UK. Recipients include LanzaJet UK (for Project Speedbird), alfanar Energy (for Lighthouse Green Fuels), and Carbon Neutral Fuels (for a synthetic SAF plant), alongside others.

6️⃣ Sasol Chemicals has signed a Letter of Intent with German e-fuel company INERATEC to supply its next-generation cobalt-based Fischer-Tropsch catalyst by 2026. The catalyst will be deployed at Era One Frankfurt, Ineratec’s PtL plant.

7️⃣ Air Liquide has taken final investment decision on its 200MW ELYgator green hydrogen project in the Port of Rotterdam, committing over €500 million to build, own, and operate the facility. The project is expected online by end-2027.

8️⃣ Eni has signed a €500 million, 15-year financing agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to convert its Livorno refinery in Italy, into a biorefinery capable of producing up to 500 000 tons/year of renewable diesel.
