  • Location: Company C, Thailand
  • Capacity, MMt/a: 1.5
  • Startup Date: March 2016
  • Unit type: DCC-plus
  • Feedstock: Hydrotreated Resid and C4's

The RDCC can produce up to 320,000 t/yr of propylene, 280,000 t/yr of heavy naphtha and 324,000 t/yr of diesel components (Source).

Sinopec's DCC-PLUS technology with self-owned intellectual property right was successfully applied in a 1.5 million tonnes/year device of Thailand's IRPC Company recently. The DCC-PLUS technology is an improved deep catalytic cracking technology for propylene production, which is developed by Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). The technology has advantages of increasing the yield of propylene, butylene and gasoline and reducing the yield of byproducts such as dry gas and coke (Source).

The Shaw Group Inc. announced it has been awarded contracts to provide a process design package and technology license for the addition of a 30,000 barrels per day deep catalytic cracking (DCC) unit to IRPC’s 215,000 barrels per day refinery in Rayong, Thailand. Shaw is the exclusive licensed provider of DCC technology outside of China... The first DCC complex designed and engineered by Shaw was successfully commissioned in 1997 at this same site in Thailand, for Thai Petrochemical Industries, the previous name of IRPC (Source)
