The Chocolate Bayou site includes INEOS Oligomers 420,000 metric-ton per year linear alpha olefins (LAO) and a 120,000 metric-ton polyalphaolefins (PAO) plants at Alvin, Texas. The LAO and PAO facilities incorporate world-leading, proprietary technology in the production of linear alpha olefins and polyalphaolefins. (Source)
INEOS Oligomers is building plants at Chocolate Bayou for LAO and PAO. The 420,000 tonne/year LAO plant is due to be commissioned in August/September, with full commercial production anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2019. (Source)
